Listen to YouTube is a free program that allows you to extract sound from YouTube videos and save it as an audio file. It offers a simple and hassle-free way to get your favorite speeches and songs from popular YouTube videos. The application is capable of downloading playlists and also works as video downloader.

What Listen to YouTube does is download a YouTube video and automatically convert it into audio in the same process. It works in a simple way; you only need to copy and paste the YouTube video URL into the box on the main tab, then click 'Download and Convert'. Video can be saved as .mp3, .aac, or .ogg files. Alternatively, the app gives you the option to keep the video in its original format.

You can select the audio file type and quality by accessing the drop-down menu next to the Download option. Listen to YouTube’s interface is easy to navigate, even if you're not computer savvy.

One major problem with Listen to YouTube is the amount of bloatware that comes with it. Some files even raised an alarm with my antivirus software, and were labeled as spyware. If you are going to run this program, be very mindful of that and carefully navigate through the installation screen so that you don’t install unnecessary software.

Overall, Listen to YouTube does its job efficiently and effectively. It can download and extract files in a couple of minutes, and it does not hog a lot of computer resources. The file size is just over 12 megabytes and is able to run on Windows Operating Systems from Windows XP onward. With this program and a reliable internet connection, you will easily be able to get your favorite songs from popular YouTube videos.
