The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 4.0
Listen to YouTube is designed to extract music from YouTube videos. In addition, it can also download those videos. The program’s interface arranges its functions in different tabs; therefore, it is quite easy to find the desired feature.
I did not like much the default color combination of the interface, but it can be customized by changing the hue.
It lets you start a new download job by simply adding the YouTube URL, because the program will automatically take care of ripping the real video URL. Then, you can select the download mode (audio or video); after that, you can pick the download quality, or otherwise tell the program use the best quality available. Unfortunately, it does not actually download audio from YouTube, which could save a lot of time. Instead, it downloads the full video and then converts it to your preferred audio format. Still, several download tasks can run at the same time to make up for that.
Unfortunately, the program’s free version has lots of limitations that can only be avoided if you buy the Pro version. Such is the case of the converter, whose tab appears locked in the free version. In general, I would rather use any other free similar app with fewer limitations.
